About this product
ROCKWOOL ROXUL Safe® is a stone wool insulation used in fire-stopping applications. It is designed to fill perimeter gaps between concrete floor slabs and exterior wall systems, between firewalls and ceiling slabs, and around conduit pipes and duct openings through walls and floor slabs.
ROXUL Safe is noncombustible and fire resistant, and will not develop toxic smoke or promote flame spread. This product is a component of ASTM E2307 tested and approved perimeter fire containment systems.

Why use stone wool insulation
- Noncombustible and fire resistant, stone wool works to contain a fire and prevent its spread.
- Will not develop toxic smoke or promote flame spread, even when exposed directly to a fire.
- Water repellent to resist absorption and enhance an assembly's drying potential.
- Nondirectional fiber orientation helps absorb sound moving between interior spaces and noise from the exterior.
- Dimensionally stable, stone wool does not expand or contract due to temperature variances.
Applications
- Engineered for fire-rated joints, through penetrations and perimeter fire containment systems.
- Designed to be compression fit within joints and penetrations.
- Always used in conjunction with a fire sealant in tested and approved systems.
